Skin Care; it's important!

at July 23, 2014
As of lately, I have been hearing this, that and the other about the importance of skin care. I've read countless of blog posts about what to do as well as the dreaded what not to do. After reading all the information about skin care and what works for each individual, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and share with you my skin care 'secrets' as well as a few extra tips for all you lovely readers.

1. Drink water regularly
I'm sure you've all heard this plenty of times before but it is really important as it keeps both you and your skin hydrated and feeling fresh. However, many people, including myself, hate the taste of water simply because there isn't one!
I went on a hunt to find the best way to 'jazz-up' the flavour of water and with a lot research and trial and error, I think I've it. All you have to do it freeze some fruit such as strawberries, blueberries and grapes. After doing this place the fruit in some water and leave it in the fridge for about half an hour. Once this is done you have a nice cold glass of water which doesn't taste so boring! For me, this is a great alternative to bottled flavoured water because it leaves me feeling so fresh and hydrated.

2. Wash your face at night!
This seems very self-explanatory but I know so many people that decide not to do this simply because it's easier not to. When in reality, if you have excess make-up on your face when you wake up because you never washed it off the night before, it is so much harder to get ready (it takes a lot longer too). Washing your face and removing your make-up every evening shall help keep your skin clean and shall significantly reduce the amount of blemishes over time. It's such an easy tip and you will see results in no time!

3. Exercise (get some fresh air)
Personally, I didn't think this contributed to skin care AT ALL until I started reading and it kept repeating itself. A lot of people, like myself, get put off by the word exercise, when really all you need to be doing is getting fresh air without just opening your window. A simple walk around the estate in the morning and then a bike ride in the afternoon can do a whole lot of good for your skin simply because of the goodness of fresh air.
This doesn't just help your skin and physical health though, this can also help your mental health by releasing any stress and anxiety you may be feeling for whatever reason. It can make feel happier and more awake.

There we have it! My top three skin care tips! I really hope this helped you find more skin care facts or someone else's perspective on skin care.
